The following notes are prepared before the active/inactive news is compiled on Sunday Morning:

Early Morning Notes/Expectations

Early Games

Forte,Matt - CHI/RB: Forte only participated on a limited basis on Friday, but this doesn’t appear to be a concern heading into the weekend matchup with Carolina. Forte and Coach Lovie Smith suggested Forte was certain to start on today and this was more of a precautionary measure.

Grant,Ryan - GBP/RB: Grant was able to get through practice fine on Friday and reportedly looked really good, but still less than 100%. Brandon Jackson makes for an intriguing sleeper option this week.

McAllister,Deuce - NOS/RB: McAllister is expected to play this week, but he's certainly a risk to start in any fantasy format. Aaron Stecker is expected to be inactive, with Pierre Thomas liekly cutting into any potential carries earmarked for McAllister.

Kelly,Malcolm - WAS/WR: Kelly’s knee has been healthy enough to participate in all practices this week but it remains uncertain whether the Redskins will activate him for this weekend’s game against the Saints.

Avery,Donnie - STL/WR: Avery remains a game-time decision on today because of his relative unfamiliarity with the playbook and his lack of overall reps. The Rams just lost Drew Bennett and are in desperate need of some speed on the outside to free attention off of the aging Tory Holt in the passing game.

Porter,Jerry - JAC/WR: Some sources are reporting that Porter only participated in limited parts of practice on Friday, but the NFL Media reports suggest he was able to fully participate for the third consecutive day. Porter’s been battling hamstring issues and remains questionable on the injury report heading into the weekend. His status appears to be up in the air until game-time, but even if healthy Porter makes for a risky play this week.

Jones,James - GBP/WR: After missing Week 1, Jones looks good to go in Week 2 after practicing fully all week.

Cooley,Chris - WAS/TE: Cooley returned to practice on Friday after missing some time earlier this week with a quadriceps injury. He’s listed as Probable but should be fine to start.

Clark,Dallas - IND/TE: Clark returned to practice on a limited basis on Friday but still doesn’t appear likely to play on Sunday. He's officially a game time decision.

Rosario,Dante - CAR/TE: Rosario’s participation in practice even on a limited basis on Friday suggests there’s a chance the Week 1 standout will be able to participate in today’s game. If Rosario is your only TE option check in on Sunday to make sure he’s active.

Heap,Todd - BAL/TE: Heap’s been bumped up to Probable this week on the injury report but I’m not particularly confident in using him yet.

Late Games

Garcia, Jeff - TBB/QB: Garcia who was dealing with a twisted ankle, lost his starting job this week when his HC named Brain Griese his starter.

Hasselbeck,Matt - SEA/QB: Young is expected to be out for 2 to 4 weeks. Kerry Collins is expected to start.

Morris, Maurice - SEA/RB: Morris will be inactive tomorrow, and likely for another 2-3 weeks. Julius Jones starts in his place.

Tomlinson,LaDainian - SDC/RB: LT was able to practice on Friday and re-iterated after the practice that he’d be a go for today’s matchup against Denver.

Royal,Eddie - DEN/WR: The hot WR pickup of the week is listed as Probable on the injury report this week and is expected to start alongside Brandon Marshall for this afternoon’s tilt with the Chargers.

Coles,Laveranues - NYJ/WR: Coles is listed as Questionable this week after participating only on a limited basis in practices all week. He is expected to play.

Stovall,Maurice - TBB/WR: Stovall is listed as questionable this week with a back injury but was able to fully participate in Friday’s practice and appears good to go for Sunday’s game.

Branch,Deion - SEA/WR: Branch had limited participation in practice all week, but is listed as Doubtful and the Seahawks don’t expect him back for a few more weeks.

Watson,Benjamin - NEP/TE: Only participating on a limited basis on Friday and missing all of practice early in the week. Watson is expected to be inactive for week 2.

Gates,Antonio - SDC/TE: After sitting out practice on Wednesday and Thursday, Gates returned to full activities on Friday. He’s listed as Probable heading into the weekend and looks good to go for the start against the Broncos.

Nugent, Mike - NYJ/K: Nugent will be inactive today, Jay Feely is expected to start.

Elam,Jason - ATL/K: Elam had limited participation in practice on Thursday and Friday and remains questionable for Sunday’s game with Tampa Bay.

Sunday Night Game

Roethlisberger,Ben - PIT/QB: After taking much of Thursday’s practice off, Big Ben returned to action Friday and declared himself fine for Sunday night.

Stallworth,Donte' - CLE/WR: Stallworth wasn’t able to participate in practice for the third straight day and he’s now listed as Doubtful for Sunday night’s game. Keep him out of your lineups.

Monday Night Game

Barber III,Marion - DAL/RB: Barber’s been able to participate in all practices this week despite the bruised ribs and is even talking about being able to play without the use of a protective jacket. He looks good to go this week as a #1 RB.
