Fresno State (+3.5) @ Rutgers (2 Units)
Hey guys,
I am playing Fresno State in this game for several reasons. First, Fresno State returns a very experienced and talented offensive line. I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but early in the season when teams are rusty, nothing is more important than the hogmallies up front. While timing and rhythm may be off, it is always nice to be able to rely on the run and give the quarterback enough time to find open receivers downfield. Another reason I like Fresno is because of the fact that along with returning 10 of 11 starters from last year's squad, they also return WR Chastin West, who led the team in receiving in 2006 but missed last year with a knee injury. While everyone is talking about BYU (and now Utah), I think this Fresno team is one that could make a BCS appearance this year. One of the thing that worries me about Rutgers is that along with losiing Ray Rice they also lose much off their offensive line from last year.
